Hi! I’m planning to propose to my girlfriend during our weekend getaway to the Lake District. We’re arriving at the cottage around 7pm on Friday 14th June, and I need everything set up before we get there. The cottage host is super helpful and will let vendors in during the afternoon. I want to create this magical, cosy atmosphere that takes her breath away when we walk in. Think fairy lights, flowers, and that perfect romantic setting. I’ve chosen this amazing cottage with glass ceiling in the living room, so you can see the stars at night – would love to incorporate this feature into the setup.

Services Required:

Decor & Design:

• Romantic pathway from front door through cottage (rose petals/candles)
• Fairy light canopy in living room under glass ceiling
• Floral arrangements (she loves peonies and roses)
• Balloon installation (nothing too overwhelming – elegant touches)
• Battery-operated candles for safety
• Would love some personalised touches (have photos I can share)

Photography & Video:

• Hidden camera setup to capture the moment
• Maybe 1 hour with photographer after the proposal
• Would love some sunset shots by the lake if possible

Catering & Food:

• Grazing board/platter set up for after the proposal
• Champagne on ice
• Her favourite macarons if possible (can provide details)
• Everything ready to serve (we won’t want to prep anything)

Timeline:

• Vendor access from 3pm-6pm
• Our arrival: 7pm
• Everything must be setup and vendors gone by 6:30pm
• Photographer can return at agreed time after proposal

Additional Notes:

• Can provide cottage access code and host contact details
• Will share photos of the cottage once vendor is chosen
• She’s allergic to lilies (please avoid in flower arrangements)
• Would love suggestions for music playlist
• Need everything cleared next morning – can arrange time with host
